On Wednesday & Thursday, December 17 & 18, 2003 at 10:00am, Cape Cod Ballet will present a special school matinee performance of the "Nutcracker Gala,” a perennial favorite and a family holiday tradition.
Be a part of the magic as the Nutcracker Prince triumphs over the Mouse King. Witness the grace and beauty of darting Snowflakes, Arabian and Spanish dancers and the Sugar Plum Fairy. See your students marvel at the sight of Mother Ginger and watch their delight as Clara's dreams come true. This presentation of Tchaikovsky's classic by Cape Cod's only professional ballet company provides an excellent opportunity to expose school children to the world of ballet and live theatre. Cape Cod Ballet's annual holiday presentation of the "Nutcracker Gala” has been widely received by students and teachers alike for the past eighteen years.
Cape Cod Ballet Society was founded in 1983 by Beth Vages. Its mission is to establish, maintain, and consistently improve both the dance and the cultural environment of Cape Cod and the Islands, by developing an understanding of and appreciation for the performing arts through excellence in educational programs, teaching, and performances.
